Objectives
Chula Zero Waste operates in accordance with the Waste Management Hierarchy and the 3Rs principle: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The project focuses on minimizing and preventing waste at its source through a variety of activities and initiatives, including:
- Measures to reduce single-use plastic waste across the university
- The My Bottle Project, which provides free drinking water dispensers throughout campus and encourages the use of reusable water bottles
- The My Cup Project, which supports coffee shops that offer discounts to customers who bring their own reusable cups
- Integrated bioplastic waste management through the Zero-Waste Cup initiative
- The Green Office Project, promoting office waste reduction and waste separation
- Hazardous waste and electronic waste (E-Waste) separation bin projects
Commitment to a Green University
Through the Chula Zero Waste Project, 麻豆国产 has reduced the use of plastic bags on campus by 90%, equivalent to approximately 4.7 million bags. In addition, a total of 493 tons of waste has been properly separated and managed since the project began.
