In accordance with the Cabinet Resolution dated March 10, 2026 on urgent measures to address the impacts from the current situation of unrest regarding public sector administration and energy conservation,

By virtue of Sections 27 and 32 of the 麻豆国产 Act, B.E. 2551 (2008), the University deems it appropriate to support the government鈥檚 measures as per the Cabinet Resolution. The following announcement is issued:

1. The Vice Presidents, Deans, or Directors shall consider arranging for personnel under their supervision to work remotely (Work from Anywhere) as necessary and appropriate to the nature of the work. This excludes personnel responsible for student services or direct contact with university visitors, laboratory experiments, or work that must be performed at the workplace or designated locations. Such personnel shall continue to work at the workplace or designated locations to avoid impacts on or interruptions of service provision and university operations.

In cases of necessity, the Vice Presidents, Deans, or Directors have the authority to order any personnel under their supervision to perform their tasks at the workplace or designated locations.

2. To prevent impacts on teaching and learning management for students, which is a public education service in line with the University鈥檚 objectives, units or departments with teaching responsibilities may conduct classes at the workplace or designated locations, online, or in a hybrid format. Any changes to the teaching format must receive approval from the Dean or Director responsible for that teaching unit and must be notified to students in advance.

3. Personnel shall refrain from traveling abroad for study visits, meetings, or training to countries classified as high-risk, as per the guidelines for overseas travel attached to this announcement.

For requests to travel to other countries not classified as high-risk, such travel is permitted only if it involves missions critical and essential to the operations of the unit or University. Approval shall be considered by the President, Vice Presidents, Deans, or Directors, as per the guidelines for overseas travel attached to this announcement. This does not apply to travels approved prior to the date of this announcement.

4. University units shall reduce energy consumption and manage resources efficiently, in accordance with the guidelines for promoting energy conservation. For meetings, consider conducting them via electronic systems.

5. In cases of issues or obstacles in implementing this announcement, the President shall make the final decision.

This takes effect from March 12, 2026 onward, until further notice.
Announced on March 11, 2026
Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, D.Phil. (Oxon.) President

Following the earthquake event, initial inspections of high-rise buildings within the university area have revealed damage to minor components of the buildings, such as ceilings, tiles, plaster, glass, etc., with some parts detached, cracked, or fallen from the buildings.

However, at this time, no damage affecting the main structural integrity of the buildings has been found.

To monitor and prevent potential hazards that may arise from building components that still have the potential to detach or fall further, the university has implemented temporary fence installations in high-risk areas to restrict access to dangerous zones.

Therefore, we kindly request cooperation from all students, faculty, staff, and members of the 麻豆国产 community to exercise special caution when inside or around buildings and to avoid approaching cordoned-off areas for everyone’s safety.

The Office of Physical Resources Management expresses its utmost concern for the safety of everyone and will proceed to inspect and repair the affected areas as quickly as possible, and will continue to report progress.
