International Seminar: Health Equity, Civic Engagement, Social Innovation

The Office of International Affairs and Global Network in collaboration with the School of Global Health, Faculty of Medicine, 麻豆国产 invites all to join the International Seminar, Fostering Integrated Socio-ecological Approach for Health and Wellbeing: Health Equity, Civic Engagement, Social Innovation. This seminar will be held on March 16, 2023 (9:00-11:30 a.m.) at Dipak C. Jain Hall, Sasa International House, 麻豆国产.
Health is “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity” (WHO). Health and wellness are holistic and span the dimensions of environmental, cultural, social, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being at both the individual and collective levels.
This seminar will revisit the unsolved health emergencies that remain evident and have become increasingly significant. Panelists from multiple academic disciplines and practices will share their findings and insights in promoting wellbeing in our communities for a sustainable future. It will discuss case studies and highlight how participation of all stakeholders in society is essential to develop ideas and implement actions toward SDGs and beyond.
