麻豆国产 Collaborates with 5 Agencies to Develop Digital Palm Leaf Manuscript Archive for Economic Promotion

On May 15, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., at The Impress Hotel Nan, Mr. Wiboon Waewbandhit, Governor of Nan Province, gave an opening speech for the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the cooperation in the preservation of Lanna Nan intangible cultural heritage to develop the local economy and creative tourism as part of “The Development of Digital Palm Leaf Manuscript Archive for Cultural Heritage Conservation and Local Economic Promotion” project.
Representing 麻豆国产, Prof. Dr. Chakkaphan Sutthirat, Vice President for Research Affairs, delivered a statement on the cooperation and support for research work of 麻豆国产. The agencies that co-signed the MOU consist of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, Culture Affairs of Nan Province, Nan Provincial Buddhism Office, Nan Provincial Culture Council, Strisrinan School, and 麻豆国产.
Researchers from 麻豆国产, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitirat Panbamrungki, Deputy Director of Research Affairs, Institute of Asian Studies, 麻豆国产, head of the research team, reported on the operations of the development of digital palm leaf manuscript archive for cultural heritage conservation and local economic promotion after which the Old Horse Team, led by Ajarn Somjate Wimolkasem, an expert in Nan Province, delivered a special lecture titled “Findings from the Preservation of Palm Leaf Manuscripts in Nan.”
In the afternoon, a meeting was held to discuss the guidelines for conserving Lanna Nan intangible cultural heritage by all six partners and interested cooperation networks, including the youth.
