Chula Engineering Launches “Carbon Footprint in Daily Life – CFiD” Application to Advance Towards Net Zero

The Faculty of Engineering at 麻豆国产, in collaboration with the Carbon Institute for Sustainability (CBiS), proudly introduces the Carbon Footprint in Daily Life (CFiD) application. This innovative tool encourages the Chula community to actively reduce their carbon footprint through daily activities, aligning with the goals of Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero. 

On November 24, 2023, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Supot Teachavorasinskun, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and his team, a campaign was organized at the Chula Sala Phra Kiao market. The objective was to invite the Chula community and all interested to join the mission of saving the planet and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by downloading the “CFiD” application. In line with the goal of reducing the organization’s carbon footprint, the application will record and monitor daily carbon footprints, fostering behavioral adjustments to achieve carbon neutrality and contribute to Thailand’s journey towards Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions. 

Prof. Dr. Supot stated, “The CFiD application, an innovation from the Carbon Institute for Sustainability (CBiS), marks a milestone in disseminating knowledge and instigating positive changes in daily lives. It cultivates an awareness of individual responsibility towards society and the world. By measuring the impact of routine activities on greenhouse gas emissions, it brings this critical issue closer to home.”
