“Harnessing Sustainability in the Food Sector: A Pathway to Progress” Seminar on Food Innovation?

, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary program in , , organized a seminar on food innovation titled “Harnessing Sustainability in the Food Sector: A Pathway to Progress” on July 12, 2024, at Room 802, 8th floor, Chamchuri 10 Building. The seminar aimed to exchange academic knowledge with relevant experts, including researchers, academics, industry leaders, and policymakers, in order to promote and determine the direction for developing a secure and sustainable food production system. Asst. Prof. Dr. Kavin Asavanant, Director of CUTIP, gave a welcome remark to the participants, followed by an opening speech by Prof. Dr. Pornanong Aramwit, Acting Vice President, which addressed the significance of food security amidst climate change, resource scarcity, and rapidly increasing global population.??

In this event, Mr. Niels Peter N?erring, Climate Director of the , gave a lecture titled “Carbon Reduction in the Food Sector: Exploring Challenges, Political Agendas, and Success Stories from Denmark.” Mr. N?erring shared in-depth information on agricultural management in Denmark and the European Union, offering guidance from successful projects, emerging technologies, policy frameworks, and best practices to promote transformation in the agricultural industry.?

The “Harnessing Sustainability in the Food Sector: A Pathway to Progress” seminar on food innovations, was organized by the Food and Agriculture Platform for the Future, led by and , in collaboration with the interdisciplinary program in Technology Management and Innopreneurship (CU TIP), Graduate School. It is part of the project promoting cooperation and development of food technology and innovation between Thailand and Denmark, supported by the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen and the Office of the Vocational Education Commission.?
