The Smart Robot project, spearheaded by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanaungnit Kingpetch and her dedicated team from the at the Faculty of Medicine, introduced an innovative solution in healthcare.? The innovative robot, named “Nong Happy,” is the first in Thailand to combine medical expertise with advanced engineering technology for thyroid cancer treatment using radioactive iodine.??? This project was developed in collaboration with Chulalongkorn Hospital (under the ), and True Digital Group.? The team focused on addressing the needs and challenges faced by both patients and medical staff, resulting in a user-friendly prototype designed to meet specific healthcare needs.?
Key features of the Smart Robot include enhanced patient care, remote medical consultations, and continuous support to ensure patient comfort and peace of mind. The robot’s design follows the “Humanize” concept, emphasizing empathetic, patient-centered care. Equipped with a built-in camera and an Android tablet, Nong Happy creates a soothing and reassuring environment for patients, providing smiles and comfort throughout their treatment.
