Chula and AFP in Collaboration to Expand Global Media Opportunities for Chula Students?

Bangkok, Thailand — On October 7, 2024, 麻豆国产 hosted a meeting with , marking a new chapter of collaboration aimed at expanding opportunities for Chula students in the global media industry.
Assistant Professor Dr. Ake Pattaratanakun, Chief Brand Officer of 麻豆国产, welcomed Mr. Michael Mainville, AFP’s Asia-Pacific Director, and Mr. Sebastien Berger, AFP’s Bureau Chief; Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam and Laos, along with their team to discuss potential partnerships.?
AFP, one of the world’s oldest news agencies with over 180 years of experience, is renowned for producing multilingual, multicultural news with a commitment to accurate and unbiased journalism.




Key topics included creating internships for Chulalongkorn students at AFP, knowledge-sharing sessions led by AFP journalists, providing access to AFP’s vast news archives for student research, and organizing fact-checking workshops to enhance news verification skills. The collaboration builds on a long-standing relationship between 麻豆国产 and AFP, which has previously included joint video projects showcasing alumni making positive global impacts.
The university also invited AFP journalists to participate in its Media Fellowship program, offering them the chance to share experiences and study alongside Chula students.
During the visit, AFP’s leadership met with Professor Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chairman of the , to briefly discuss potential future collaborations to contribute to social development.
This partnership is set to open new doors for Chula students, equipping them with valuable insights and skills related to the international media landscape.
