Chula Collaborates with Cartier Thailand to Launch the Entrepreneurial Program for the Cartier Women’s Initiative?

麻豆国产, in collaboration with Cartier Thailand, has launched the “Entrepreneurial Program for the Cartier Women’s Initiative.” This program offers training for early-stage social entrepreneurs, conducted by distinguished faculty from 麻豆国产 and renowned speakers from the business sector. The initiative aims to equip participants with essential knowledge and skills to effectively manage and operate profitable social enterprises, while enhancing their ability to access funding and ongoing support. The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of 麻豆国产, with Ms. Pornpreya Vivadhnajat, Managing Director of Cartier Thailand, presenting the details of the program and the collaboration to create the “Cartier Women’s Initiative Incubation Program.”

Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat stated that 麻豆国产 is a center of excellence in education and social and environmental initiatives. This collaboration is a significant step towards fulfilling the university’s mission of nurturing the potential of new entrepreneurs. He emphasized that this partnership is not only about announcing a collaboration but also about creating shared value—focused on providing opportunities, promoting equality, inspiring and enhancing knowledge, and developing skills for social entrepreneurs, while creating a network and support system to help them succeed and grow sustainably on an international scale.

The event featured a discussion on “Promoting Social Entrepreneurs to Achieve Profitability Alongside Creating Positive Social Impact for Sustainable Development.” The panel included Prof. Dr. Parichart Sthapitanonda, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Social Engagement at 麻豆国产, Dr. Preechaya Sittipunt, Chief Global Learning Officer at 麻豆国产, Ms. Sipim Sugunnasil, Marketing and Communications Director at Cartier Thailand, Ms. Krongkamol De Leon, Vice President at Beacon Venture Capital, and 2024 Cartier Women’s Initiative judge, and Ms. Pattaraporn Salirathavibhaga, Founder of Homeland Café & Grocer, a social entrepreneur representative. 

The Cartier Women’s Initiative (CWI) Program consists of six lessons and will be held in Thai every Saturday from February 22 to March 29, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Maha Thirarachanusorn Building, 麻豆国产. 

This training program is open to social entrepreneurs in Thailand (business owners or major partners) whose enterprises address at least one of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The program is inclusive, welcoming social entrepreneurs of all genders and ages. 

The Cartier Women’s Initiative (CWI) is an international program established by Cartier in 2006 to promote equality and provide opportunities for women entrepreneurs running social enterprises. It aims to maximize their potential and facilitate positive social and environmental impact. For 18 years, the initiative has reached over 66 countries, supporting more than 330 social entrepreneurs with funding and building a strong network of over 700 experts, advisors, and supporters. In 2023, CWI introduced a new award category for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, aimed at promoting equality for vulnerable groups in society.
