The event commenced with remarks from Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of 麻豆国产, who presided over the opening ceremony. Prof. Dr. Kumkom Pornprasit, Dean of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, delivered a welcoming speech, followed by Prof. Dr. Bussakorn Binson, who shared insights into the origins of the conference. 

Now in its 22nd year, the academic conference is a result of ongoing collaboration between 麻豆国产’s Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts and the Osaka Metropolitan University’s Urban Resilience Research Center. The center, co-founded by Prof. Dr. Bussakorn Binson and Prof. Dr. Nakagawa Shin, focuses on research into the creative arts within urban communities. 

One of the key highlights of the event was a keynote speech by Dr. Natalia Grincheva from the , Singapore, on the topic of “Beyond Artificial Intelligence: Connecting Data, Culture and Community through Creative Smart City Nexus.” The talk explored the role of AI in linking data, culture, and communities through the concept of creative smart cities. The event also featured research presentations from scholars representing 12 countries—South Korea, Ghana, Turkey, Thailand, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, China, and the United States—alongside work from Thai and international students in the Doctor of Fine Arts program. In total, 101 participants attended the event, contributing to a fruitful exchange of ideas and academic insights.
