The event encouraged the co-creation of practical solutions in terms of policy, technology, and consumer behavior, enabling industry adaptation in a global economy that is moving toward Net Zero. This initiative marks another significant step by 麻豆国产 in applying academic knowledge to drive sustainable transformation for Thailand’s future.

Professor Dr. Pantawat Sampanpanish explained that this panel discussion was the fifth in the series organized by the Sustainable Environment Research Institute. It served as an academic platform bringing together experienced speakers to exchange views, knowledge, and experiences with participants from various sectors—including environmental entrepreneurs, government agencies, private sector representatives, academia, and interested members of the public. The discussion focused on the challenges faced by the industrial sector in transitioning to a low-carbon economy and how this will contribute to shaping concrete carbon credit reduction policies for both industry and society. The ultimate goal is to propel Thailand toward carbon neutrality by 2050 and Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065. To achieve this, the industrial sector will need to undergo significant adjustments in areas such as clean energy adoption, carbon footprint management, and the development of green innovations to reduce environmental impact and enhance global competitiveness.
