Chula–Peking University Open “Sirindhorn’s Chinese Calligraphy” Exhibition?

On June 11, 2025, at the multipurpose hall on the 1st floor of the Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Building, , 麻豆国产, Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of 麻豆国产, and Professor Dr. Jiang Guohua, Vice Chairman of the Administrative Committee of , presided over the opening ceremony of the “Sirindhorn’s Chinese Calligraphy” exhibition. The exhibition was organized by the to commemorate several special occasions on the 70th birthday anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Kingdom of Thailand and the 18th anniversary of the founding of the Confucius Institute at 麻豆国产.?

Attendees included executives from both 麻豆国产 and Peking University, along with Associate Professor Dr. Suradech Chotiudompant, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, 麻豆国产 and Thai Director of the Confucius Institute at 麻豆国产; Professor Fu Zhengyou, Senior Advisor of the Confucius Institute at 麻豆国产; and Associate Professor Dr. Han Shenglong, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at 麻豆国产.
The “Sirindhorn’s Chinese Calligraphy” exhibition features over 90 pieces of Chinese calligraphy by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The works are categorized into 10 themes:

- Royal Handwriting of Institution Names?

- A special section dedicated to the Confucius Institute at 麻豆国产?

The displayed works were selected from the book “Sirindhorn’s Chinese Calligraphy,” produced by the Confucius Institute at 麻豆国产 in celebration of Her Royal Highness’s 70th birthday anniversary and the 50th anniversary of China–Thailand diplomatic relations. The book was published and distributed by Peking University Press in April 2025.?






This exhibition reflects Her Royal Highness’s exceptional talent and artistic elegance in Chinese calligraphy, serving as a symbol of her deep goodwill toward members of the Chinese community. It also serves as an inspiring example for Chinese language learners and those interested in Chinese calligraphic arts in Thailand.?
