Prof. Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Chiang Mai University, who served as the 46th-term president.
The Council of Engineering Deans of Thailand (CEDT) is an independent organization consisting of members from institutions that are formally recognized as faculties of engineering or equivalent units that primarily offer engineering education. Each institution is represented by its dean or equivalent position. The council is responsible for enhancing the quality of engineering faculties, formulating policies for the production of engineering graduates that align with national needs, promoting academic collaboration and student activities among engineering faculties across various higher education institutions, establishing rules and regulations, and supporting the engineering profession.
Currently, the Council comprises 65 member institutions.
