Three Chula Researchers Receive 2025 Toray Science and Technology Research Grants

The 32nd annual award and grant presentation ceremony was held on March 6, 2026, at The?Athenee?Hotel Bangkok, with?Gen. Surayud?Chulanont, President of the Privy Council, presiding over the ceremony.?

The Science and Technology Research Grant from the Toray Science Foundation (Thailand) supports faculty members and researchers conducting projects that contribute to the advancement of scientific and technological knowledge in Thailand. The grant covers research fields including agriculture, chemistry, engineering, and physics, helping strengthen Thailand’s science and technology development.

Asst. Prof. Dr.?Wiwittawin?Sukmas,?Department of Physics,?, for the project titled,?“High-Performance Semiconductor-Based Sensors for Pollution Detection Designed by Machine Learning Models.”?
Assoc. Prof. Dr.?Aksara?Putthividhya,?Department of Water Resources Engineering,?, received funding for the project,?“Design and Development of Integrated Nature-Based Measures to Reduce Area-Based Flood and Drought Risks and Enhance Knowledge Capacity for Climate Change Adaptation in the Lower Chao Phraya River Basin.”?
