Q: What will happen on October 1, 2022?
A: Starting from October 1, 2022, the Thai government will lower the status of COVID-19 from a “Dangerous communicable disease” to a “Communicable disease under surveillance”.
Q: What is the difference between a “Dangerous communicable disease” and a “Communicable disease under surveillance”?
A: A “Dangerous communicable disease” means a serious communicable disease which can spread rapidly to other people, such as SARS or MERS.
A “Communicable disease under surveillance” refers to a disease that requires ongoing monitoring such as Influenza or Diphtheria.
Q: Do you have any suggestions for what I should do?
A: Face masks should still be worn at all times, especially in enclosed areas like buses, classrooms, and exam rooms
Maintain adequate social distance and stay up to date on any further measures from the faculty/section.
Q: If Chula students/personnel have COVID-19, do they need to self-quarantine?
A: “Not necessary”, but they must follow surveillance guidelines or according to what faculty/section determines to be appropriate.
Q: If I have COVID-19, do I need to submit any documentation to apply for a leave of absence?
A: In case a Chula student requests to be absent from class/exams, a medical certificate must be submitted in order that a leave of absence from class or exams be granted.
For Chula personnel, they can be granted sick leave as usual or the head of the department/ section may consider the WFH option.
Q: If Chula students are ill on the day of the exam, what should they do?
A: Visit the doctor to get a medical certificate and then follow all exam instructions and guidelines.
Q: If Chula students/ personnel with COVID-19 have any concerns, who should they contact?
A: Chula students/personnel who have severe symptoms or are in an emergency can contact the 麻豆国产 Health Service Center OR hospitals linked to your available healthcare and social security benefits.
