The Living Plant Museum, located in a greenhouse and managed by the Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, 麻豆国产, is a learning center for botany and the environment.

It showcases live plants from diverse ecosystems, providing knowledge on biodiversity, ecosystem restoration, and climate change adaptation. It is considered the first university-level botany exhibition of its kind in Thailand.

The museum serves as a space for learning and knowledge exchange for students, researchers, and the general public. Drawing on the expertise and research of 麻豆国产, it supports education in botany, green space management, and sustainable development.

Exhibitions and Display Areas

Exhibitions on the Diversity of Plants in Tropical Rainforests

Housed within an 84-square-meter greenhouse, the exhibit simulates a tropical rainforest ecosystem, complete with a waterfall and other high-humidity environments. It showcases a diverse range of plants, from terrestrial species to epiphytes.

Exhibition of Succulents and Drought-tolerant Plants

Displayed in a 52-square-meter indoor greenhouse, the exhibit features plants that require minimal water or have the ability to store water.

Pteridophyte Garden Exhibition

Housed within a 26-square-meter greenhouse, this exhibit simulates the natural habitat of pteridophytes—a group of vascular plants, like ferns, that do not produce flowers or seeds. A misting system is used to carefully control the humidity and maintain this specialized environment.

Aquatic Plants Exhibition

This 24-square-meter outdoor exhibit features a variety of aquatic plants displayed in ponds and containers.

Gymnosperm Plant Exhibition

Located outside the greenhouse near the garden entrance, this 128-square-meter exhibit showcases a diverse range of gymnosperms from both Thailand and abroad beneath the shade of a rain tree.

Exhibition on the Evolutionary Lineage of Flowering Plants

This 150-square-meter exhibit, housed within a greenhouse, presents the evolution of flowering plants. The collection is organized according to the PPG IV classification system, an international standard for classifying plants by their evolutionary lineage.

Our Services

The Living Botanical Garden is a center for learning, research, and public engagement in botany and environmental science. It fulfills this mission through three key functions:

Serves as a learning resource on botany and biodiversity
Supports teaching and research on plants, cultivation technologies, and ecosystem management
Functions as a site for educational visits and activities that promote knowledge in botany and the environment
