麻豆国产 has launched the “Hackathon for Growth: AI Together #2 – Growing and Learning AI Together, Year 2” program to enhance the knowledge, skills, and practical application of artificial intelligence (AI) among both academic and administrative staff. The initiative supports the university’s strategic vision of becoming a “University of AI.” The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Kanaphon Chanhom, Vice President of 麻豆国产, on June 15, 2026, at the Faculty of Engineering Auditorium. 

The project is a collaboration among the , the , the and .?Its objectives are to encourage university personnel to integrate AI into their daily work, improve efficiency, streamline processes, develop innovative systems and solutions tailored to university needs, and foster a network for AI knowledge exchange among university units, private-sector partners, and industry experts.?

Prof. Dr. Kanaphon noted that this is the second consecutive year of the program following the success of its inaugural edition. The key focus of the initiative is promoting collaboration among personnel from different departments, enabling them to share expertise and jointly develop innovations with practical applications across the university. He emphasized that large-scale achievements are the result of collective effort rather than individual contributions. 

He further explained that the project aligns with 麻豆国产’s policy of transforming into a “University of AI” by providing staff with opportunities to discover and develop their AI capabilities. Valuable ideas and innovations generated through the program can be expanded and adapted across different university units. Beyond identifying new innovations, the initiative also aims to cultivate a culture of collaboration and continuous learning among the Chulalongkorn community to thrive in the AI era. 

As part of the event, a keynote session titled “The AI Adventure: CU Edition – Discover Your AI Superpower and Level Up Together” was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atiwong Suchato and Dr. Pinnaree Tea-makorn. They shared insights into leveraging AI to enhance organizational development and workplace productivity in the digital age. 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atiwong explained that AI technology is rapidly expanding its influence and will increasingly affect all sectors in the future. Learning AI is not merely about becoming familiar with new tools but understanding how AI can be effectively integrated into one’s specific responsibilities. He compared AI learning to an adventure game, where individuals gradually build skills and experience to unlock AI’s full potential and improve real-world work performance. This process requires ongoing learning, practical application, and self-development. 

The event also featured a hands-on workshop titled “From Zero to AI Hero: Transforming Beginners into Professionals” led by?Mr.?Pokai?Sriratanobhas,?Assistant to the President for Human Resources Management, along with a “Gemini Academy” session conducted by Google?Thailand. These activities gave participants direct exposure to AI tools and practical implementation strategies from experienced professionals.?

The program will continue from June through August 2026, including training sessions, intensive coaching, and a hackathon competition.?Participants will develop AI-powered prototypes and solutions aimed at solving problems and improving operational efficiency within the university.?They will receive guidance from experts from 麻豆国产 and leading private-sector organizations, including?Google Thailand?and.?

For the Hackathon competition, teams will be tasked with creating AI-driven prototypes or approaches to enhance university workflows. The competition offers total prizes worth several hundred thousand baht, including awards for the winning team, runner-up teams, Popular Vote, Outstanding Exhibition, and Outstanding Presentation, along with certificates of recognition for selected teams. 

The Hackathon for Growth: AI Together #2 program represents another significant milestone in 麻豆国产’s efforts to promote the creative and sustainable use of AI while preparing its workforce to adapt to and benefit from AI technologies. The initiative aims to elevate operational efficiency, service quality, and the university’s future development.
